A new member of the family

Meet Gizmo!!! (aka Gizzy)
Our new little girl is about 11wks old here and a Yorkie, isn't she the cutest!?!?!?
She is proof that no good deed goes unnoticed. We got her because we rescued a couple of dogs running lose around our complex back in Sept. Andrew had the next couple days off so he took care of the two dogs and posted flyers around the neighborhood. Turned out our local vet recognized them and said they belonged to a woman that breeds Yorkies nearby. Her reward was cash or a puppy. Andrew, being the smarty that he is, chose the puppy! So we are the lucky new family to a beautiful Yorkie (potentially show quality, with papers!) completely free of charge. We had been looking into adopting another dog but she fell into our laps and we are SO thankful! :)

Gizzy's first family picture...the perfect addition before our baby boy!

The girls love Daddy time!!! :)

Even Suzie is a fan of her little sister! We caught her giving Gizmo a "bath" a couple days ago. And I noticed she got 3 of the "baths" today... I'll have to post pictures, Its pretty cute. (but difficult to capture in a picture) She takes care of her like its her own little puppy! :) Although there have been a couple of incidents Suzie is quite patient with her, doesn't hurt her, and lets her Gizzy know when she has gone too far! :) She also checks on her little sister when other people are holding Gizmo, just to make sure everything is okay. :)

A belly picture!

22 weeks! (18 more to go!)
Since I have not posted one yet its about time to show off the belly that I am growing. Just a couple weeks ago I finally went from "hmmm...she really let herself go" to "oh! she's pregnant!" I also notice strangers check out my belly all the time! Or really anybody I come into contact with always glances at it. I'm pretty sure most of them think they are being more sly than they really are. I find it humorous, It makes me smile because I am proud of this baby bump! :)

It's a bouncing baby boy!!!

This will probably be the only time it is ever appropriate to post a picture of his penis! (and I even questioned doing it now)

His face looking right at us and his strong spine! :)

His little face (the one eye looking right at us is a little creepy/weird to me, but the ultrasound tech assured me that he had two!)

Profile of our little peanut blowing bubbles... not really its the umbilical cord, but it looks just like bubbles to me!

And yes, we may have known we were having a boy when we went in for an ultrasound at 14wks (check out the date!) but the tech said she was only 70% sure... if you look at that picture would you have any doubt it was a boy? I couldn't imagine that thing going anywhere! :) But we decided to keep it pretty hush hush until we found out for sure at 18 weeks. :)

Building Bigger and Better Bromunds...

Yes, we are having a baby!!! Our little peanut is due April 25th and we are thrilled. Today marks the first day of my 2nd trimester. (I cannot believe I am 3 months down already!)

These ultrasounds are from our appointment at 9 weeks and 6 days. We have another one set up for this Tuesday at 14 weeks and 2 days.
We have two earlier ultrasounds that I might post as well... but they are so boring compared to these. This is the first time little peanut looks like a baby. And a darn cute one at that! although perhaps I am already bias. :)

Updating soon... I promise!!!

So it has nearly been 2 months since I updated this little blog of ours. One reason its been so long is since our camera was stolen, we had no pictures to post! and a post with no pictures is boring to me, I want to give visuals too! :) But I promise next week will be a new post, an active blog, and pictures. I am on top of it! :) Stay tuned...

Robbed :(

So... about 3 weeks ago somebody broke into our place while we were both at work. They took nearly all of my jewelry, wii, xbox, laptop, camera's, etc. So I probably wont be posting much for awhile. We are waiting for the insurance money to come through (Thank goodness we were insured!!!!) so I can get a new camera (to replace my 4 month old dslr!) and get back to my picture taking! :)

Luckily nobody was hurt (suzie was quite freaked out the poor little thing, but she is getting better) So really it isn't too bad I suppose. We did everything we could have to prevent it from happening (they got in through a locked... yes LOCKED window) They certainly knew what they were doing. We are just in such a private spot that its easy for somebody to bust in here without anybody being the wiser. UGH! And to add insult to injury nearly ALL of our neighbors were home!!! nobody saw or heard a thing. The thief/s also stole a large duffle bag (scattering clothes everywhere from our weekend trip) which they must have used to carry everything out so nobody would notice. Bastards! :P

All is well though and last week we were in the dart league finals, and are now champions!!! :) We got a fun trophy and a cash prize, so that rocks! :)

Sad sad day...

I just found out that one of my favorite books of all time is out of print... TOTALLY out of print. Its a crime!!! If you haven't read it I encourage you to track down a copy (most likely the library since prices on amazon range from $25-$89!!!) If not for the story, but the illustration. Barbara Helen Berger is an incredible artist and I find myself inspired everytime I see or even think about that book. Incredible! :) You may know her from her most popular book Grandfather Twilight (another personal fave). I am just so sad that I'll never be able to just go out and by a copy of When The Sun Rose... thank goodness I have a hardcover copy... I hope its in okay condition. If anybody is curious about Barbara Helen Berger's work you can check out her website http://bhberger.com/index.htm

Adrian and the kids visit!

Adrian, Lizzy, and new baby Michael came to visit for a couple weeks and we wish they would just move here already!!! Adrian was like a sister to me in Alaska and her mom was my godmother! It would be so wonderful to have them here and close to us! You hear that Joe? You need to move your family down here!!! :)

Andrew is quite the photog! :) I just love that he was snapping away! :)

I could have kept him and his big sister... They are the sweetest kids and look so much alike! :)

We were a little annoyed with the photographer, that was my fault :)

But we got over it! :)

He was making the cutest little sounds!!!

I'm lovin the hat! :)

Quiet family time at the lake... it felt like they had been there forever, in a good way... :( we didn't want them to go!

Some man time since poor Michael was surrounded by chicks most of his stay! He took right to Andrew... they understood each other, must be a guy thing. :)

Just a cute pick of Maya and Lizzy, such sweet girls! :)

Stayin with Auntie Courtney and Uncle Drew the day before our trip to WILD WAVES!!!! I wish I got pictures there... all that water and camera's just don't mix though. That day I decided i need a little waterproof camera! :) Next time I will have one and get pictures! :) These two were up until midnight the night before wild waves... note to self, no pepsi after 9pm... I really should have known better. :) But I figured they're on vacation... live it up!!!! :D

and a final shot of baby Michael... the reason they couldn't make it to the wedding (momma was put on bed rest the week after the wedding) Totally worth the wait in my opinion. If they came before the wedding I wouldn't have been able to spend as much time with them or meet him right away!!! Such a great time, I wish I wasn't working and could have spent all my time with them whle they were here. Awell... they'll be back and we should be up that direction next year for my 10 year class reunion... Alaska here we come!!! :)

Cj & Lauren's Baby Shower

So this fathers day we threw a surprise baby shower for our friends Cj & Lauren. Cj was in on the surprise thinking it was just for Lauren little did he know it was co-ed! It was a bit of a tropical jungle theme... didn't want it too prissy for those boys ya know!

Welcome to the Jungle Baby Chauncy!!! The little bundle is due Aug 10th... we can't wait to meet him! (P.S. our local grocery store does an EXCELLENT job on cakes... I took them a plate and said make something happen, and they did! Seriously impressive for a grocery store! I will be using them again and again.)

The boys outside by the grill. They needed there "man time" away from the girls

Dallas sharing cake with her daddy, she is such a doll!

Even the puppies had to get dressed up for the occation!!! :)

The party crowd
Mommy and Daddy to be (Lauren & CJ) Lily, Joe, Dallas, Nikki,
Andrew, Dusty, Courtney, Suzie & Ashley

Nikki loved the poopy diaper game! Who knew melted candy bars could be SO gross!?!? or that nouget, when heated, is like super glue?!?!?

Baby Swag... so cute and fun!
To the left is a little red print blanket that Cj and Lauren were especially excited about. Linda (my mother in law) made it for the baby. They were SO worried that he wouldn't have anything home made like they had when they were little because neither of there moms sew or anything. It was WAY cute! :)

No party is complete without a drinking game right?

Mommy and Daddy to be digging into their loot!!!
I bet most of you moms out there could guess what is in the polka dot package just by the shape of it! :)

It was so great to have everybody over to celebrate, we need to make more excuses to get together. It's pretty tough with Cj & Lauren being in Spokane and Joe & Nikki being in Lake Stevens... Everybody needs to move closer!!! Awell... hopefully someday! For now we will just have to settle for our little get togethers. :)

So we still do not have all of our professional shots, but here are a handfull of them. We are SO excited at how they turned out (particularly me...Andrew wasn't concerned) But I wanted to share! We were referred this photographer by a friend and we are SO happy she did! If you want to check out the photographers websites here they they are

She is incredible and I highly recommend her to EVERYBODY!!! :)

I hope you enjoy our pictures! :)
