Since it took us a few months to find a photographer that we feel in love at Cosa Bella Foto and the holidays followed soon after our engagement pictures weren't done until January after our engagement on July 4th.
I woke up to a cold and foggy day, and to be honest when I ran to the window excitement was soon flooded with disappointment. I quickly picked myself up thinking Joey (our photographer) can make anything look beautiful, she will fix this! :) So off we were to turn our day into a date in Seattle. Our first stop was the spa to get my make up done (I'm not the best at it, I really want to learn to do it better) then Andrew swung by like a prince on a white horse (really in a white truck, which works for me!) with lunch from our favorite Greek hole in the wall. Delicious!
Our next stop was Alki Beach in West Seattle. We stepped out of the car and I started shivering nearly immediately, Andrew is always warm so he didn't have a problem. Sometime between that morning and our early afternoon shoot the fog and clouds parted to a beautiful day! for the next two hours we pranced around in the sand pretending like the paparazzo wasn't following us. :) Somehow a few minutes in I forgot how cold it was and just enjoyed the afternoon. It was so much fun to relax and be lead around Alki by our very fun and talented photographer. So above and following are some of the photos that resulted after our chilly January day on Alki.
