Welcome to the 3rd trimester!

I can hardly believe we are 28 weeks (6 months) along already, only 12 weeks to go! Yet at the same time if feels like it took forever to get to this point. Peanut is pretty active now and its incredible to feel him in there. My only complaint is that Andrew hardly ever gets to feel him. (I have an anterior placenta, which means the placenta placed itself front and center on my belly, acting like a giant pillow for peanut to kick at) I really do wish I could share it more with Andrew, my momma, gramma, etc. I just keep telling myself that soon enough they will be able to hold that sweet little baby in their arms and nobody will be thinking about those kicks anymore! (except for maybe me) :)
I can hardly believe we will be bringing a new life into this world in a matter of weeks. Our little boy is already so blessed and so loved, he really is a very lucky child and we hope to teach him at a young age how not everybody is this lucky, and to be thankful for it every day. He is being born into the most incredible family that has been excited about his arrival before anybody even knew he was on his way!

Now here is to hoping that the 3rd trimester isn't as miserable as
everybody makes it out to be! :)

27 Weeks

Only 13 to go!!! I can hardly believe it, the last week of my second trimester, almost 2/3 of the way done... peanut is going to be here so soon!!! :)

Andrew has recently started reading bedtime stories to our little peanut. I think we all enjoy it! :) We want him to know our voices and the poor little guy has to listen to his momma ALL day at work. And my voice is louder to him than all others in a conversation. So bed time is daddy time... and I keep my mouth shut! :)

New Stroller!!!

And I love it!!! It is even cooler than I thought. I was a little dissapointed by the color at first but as soon as I got the sucker put together I couldn't care less, I am super excited to use it! :) The color is very fitting for a little boy (I had hoped to go more neutral, but not crazy boy like the jeep strollers so that is good!) And I just need to enjoy the fact that we could get such a great stroller! :) And honestly if I was able to get the Plum color that I really wanted (that is not available in the US!) it possibly would have been too girly. SO I suppose this worked out just right! :)

Reasons why I LOVE it:
-it folds all the way back like a bassinet and the little foot flap (that light blue thingy) folds and zips up to make sure he doesn't slip out anywhere. :)
-comes with a cup holder (for us big kids!), foot muff/sleeping bag, rain cover, sun shade, and some other cool stuff i can't think of! :)
-lightweight (it really is lighter than I thought it would be)
-new born head thingy (I still don't know the technical terms for all this baby stuff obviously!)
-car seat compatible
-tray with cup and snack holder for baby. You can also remove the arm bar thingy all together.
-lots of storage space under the stroller.
-and last but not least our little peanut will look SO CUTE in it! :)

Who woulda though I would ever be so excited about a stroller... but I am, baby stuff is so much fun! :)

26 weeks!

14 weeks to go! When I think I still have around 3 months or so it seems like awhile, when I say it in weeks it feels like April 25th is just around the corner! :) We had an appointment on Friday and it went very well. Everything looks good, nothing too exciting (which is good in this case!). We also got to schedule our appointments up until the day after our due date (April 26th) I know things will really start to speed up quickly. We start going to appointment every 2 weeks next month and then weekly at the end of March. Then throw in a baby shower, childbirth classes, and getting the nursery ready...we'll be busy getting ready and I love it! :)

I think the big sisters are getting excited too! (probably not but I would like to think so... I just know they will be great with their little brother, they are excellent with their little Godbrother Chauncey we are very lucky to have those two little girls, we love them to pieces!)

24 weeks!

So from now on I plan on putting a new picture up each week! :) plus whatever else we would like to share. Our little peanut is moving around a bunch more now and I can feel him all over. At our last Dr's visit we found out that I had an anterior placenta, which means the placenta placed itself on the front of my tummy (usually it places itelf towards the back) So its like having a pillow between me and baby so we were told I may not feel much movement. That has been true until fairly recently. The big downside is that Andrew can't feel our little peanut kicking yet because of it! :( Our little peanut is getting stronger by the day (I can feel it!) so I'm sure Andrew will be able to feel him soon (fingers crossed)
I can't believe we only have 16wks to go! when I say that it doesn't sound like that long!
