Peanut's Room

Here is a sneak peek of our little peanut's room. We still aren't finished (more curtains to hang, a painting to be hung, and I'm not sure about the comforter going where it is, but we'll see) I do think it is coming along quite nicely though. :)

That rocker in the corner is the same one that Andrew's mom used to rock him to sleep...I can hardly believe he actually fits in it, but he does! :)

Peanut's closet, and his big sister Gizmo checking out the place.

Our little guys first teddy bear and first football!

His bedding...and don't worry, chances are the bumpers will be removed when he gets in there!
I will surely post more pictures when it is done! :) Just wanted to share our progress! I should also find some "before" pictures to give those of you who didn't see it before just how much we had to deal with. I can hardly believe we did it! :)

36 Weeks

So my weekly picture shirt is getting a little short and I dont know how much longer it'll make it! :) Just 4 short weeks until our due date, its getting exciting and things are starting to move really quickly around here...lots on our to do list that still needs to get checked off but I'm not too concerned. Whatever happens we'll make it work! :)

We have our 36 week appt tomorrow and then an ultrasound on tuesday to check our peanut's size. Last week the doctor said that he appeared to be of average size (not overly large, thank God!) But we'll get a little more detail on Tuesday.

I am starting to notice that I hurt pretty bad if I push myself too hard or pick up things too heavy. Before it didn't effect me too much, but the last couple of days little things kicked my behind! So I am taking the not so subtle hints that our peanut is giving me and trying to take lots of breaks. It does help that I have a husband that will sternly tell me "no" or "put it down" if I'm doing something I probably shouldn't be doing. (its too bad he can't be around all the time though!) :)

35 weeks

So it was a busy baby week for us! On monday we had an infant cpr/first aid/safety course which was great. A lot of it is baby proofing which we dont need for awhile but good to know anyhow! :) Then on Friday and Saturday we had our childbirth classes. Those were great, the instructor was a riot! Although a lot of it we had heard before we still left there with new info and I feel a lot more comfortable about what is going on.
*
We took the classes through Overlake (where we will be delivering) it feels good to know how this particular hospital does things. We also got a nice tour so we now know exactly where to park, where to check in, who to call, etc.
*
Then today we finished peanut's laundry (can't wait for the dresser to arrive so we can fill it up!!!). We installed the car seat, painted some shelving, hung all of peanuts clothing, rearranged the bathroom, and Andrew took my car in for an oil change, plus took care of lunch and dinner (such an awesome husband) Busy and productive day! :)

I think we almost feel prepared, and it feels great! (so if peanut decides to make an early appearance we will be ready)

Baby Shower *take two*

for some reason I wasn't able to get the pictures on the last post to enlarge so I started over...finally worked this time! :)

Baby Showers!

We were SO lucky to have 3 baby showers for our little bundle of joy! One was thrown by my cousin Yatie on the 7th and was family and old friends (many people were not up to the trip to Olympia, it was a shame, they missed a great party!). That was followed by a shower my coworkers threw me at work (I am part of such an incredible team!) that Wednesday. Then the final shower that Saturday the 13th was coed so both Andrew and I got to be there...I don't care what other guys think or say... baby showers can be fun for everybody!!! :)

Above is Baby Bromund's "Sea Party" aka Tea Party thrown by my cousin Yatie... unfortunately I didn't get any pix of the gift table before it was taken apart :( it was SO CUTE! A little whale bath tub full of salt water taffy and all sorts of fun little things. It was so cute, she did such an incredible job! :)

Our coed shower thrown by our friend Ashley and hosted by our friends The Dickson's. So much fun to have nearly everybody there, and a nice change to not leave the guys out of the baby festivities! Check out the diaper cake Ashley made!!! I was super excited about that, she did such a great job...and of course the Cupcake Royale cupcakes... Mmmmm...well done! :)

34 Weeks

Look at that belly! He's getting nice and big, but surprisingly my tummy grew less this last appt than before. But I also gained less than what I was suppose (probably due to a recent diet change, gotta look out for the little man in my tummy)
Only 6 more weeks... wonder if he'll decide to come early or late (or right on time!) I would sure like right on time but my gut tells me late (I'm no doctor though so really only time will tell!) As long as he isn't too early we will be happy! :) Our only preference on dates is that he doesn't show up on the 11th! Since our anniversary is the 11th of April, we would like to keep it that way (we know that if he is born that day, NEVER will that day be about us anymore) I think its healthy to be a little selfish and want a day for us to focus on each other...its good for our little peanut to have balanced, happy, and dedicated parents! :)

So we are a bit late with this post but I wanted to get it up before the new ones... Baby shower pics are also soon to follow! :)
